Kids Watching TV

My kids have been so happy since we got Dish Network. I hardly ever used to let my kids watch TV since I wanted them to read and do well in school. Since I wanted their exposure to TV to be limited, I didn’t want to get cable or satellite TV in our home. My husband and I were fine with that since we don’t have much time to watch anyways. The kids were alright with it too, until they got older and realized what all their friends had. We obviously didn’t mind if they watched TV while they were at their friend’s homes. We weren’t going to put restrictions on other families just because we felt TV was a waste of time. I finally gave in and got satellite TV because I couldn’t take the complaining from the kids anymore, and I think they are ready for it. They all love to read and do well in school, so I think we met the goals that were set out for them. I told them that if any of their grades drop they will have their privileges taken away, so I think it’ll work.
