La Finca Algorfa in the Province of Alicante

Sheltered by the lofty mountains of Escotera, lies a beautiful little village called Algorfa. A municipality of Alicante in Spain, Algorfa is situated in a valley between the mountains and watered by the Segura River and is part of the famous Costa Blanca. Boasting a traditional life style and culture, Algorfa is one of those rare gems of the country that are still clad in the rustic garments of old Spain.

Although, Algorfa is a farming village with lines of orange and lime trees beside every road, it is still the setting for the country’s most prestigious golf courses. The La Finca is Algorfa’s claim to fame and the golf course has been called a haven for the golfer.

With wide open plains, a wide variety of greens and the view of the high mountains make this an excellent course for those desirous of a healthy and relaxing game. The golf course was designed by Jose Gancedo and opened to the public in 2001. Since then, it has been the popular choice for golfing fans from all over the world.

La Finca golf course provides excellent housing facilities, a wonderful clubhouse and a stunning atmosphere. The course has various natural water bodies combined with wildlife and other typical features which makes some of the holes competitive to play. However, this only adds to the enjoyment of the game as it is after all, a championship golf course.

Different trees, flowers and other vegetation decorate all 6992 yards of La Finca. This 72 Par, 18 hole modern golf course is known for its beauty and excellent facilities. A hotel is also under construction in the course, which plans to cater to the tourists who desire a more luxorious and closer accommodation. This hotel will have modern facilities like swimming pools, gyms and shopping plazas.

The La Finca Golf Course has been called the most beautiful and most avant-garde golf course in Alicante. It is a matter of great pride for Algorfa that its limes and oranges are ranked side by side with this golfing paradise.
